My husband, Val Middleton will be teaching this Thursday's class on emergeny first aid. Val has worked for Gold Cross Ambulance for 13 years and is an intermediate EMT. He also has had numerous training sessions in Wilderness Medicine. He is presently teaching medical and safety classes at UBATC. Several points he will be discussing are:
How to tell if someone is experiencing a heart attack or stroke
What to do if you find a infant or adult chocking
How to tell if someone is in shock and what measures to take
How to determine and treat someone suffering from hypotherma
What to do if you come upon an accident scene
How to treat burns
Val is very knowedgeable and will be answering questions. I appreciate him doing this for me. Any husbands or men are welcome to attend as everyone can use this advice. Spread the word. Thanks, Peggy

"Many women today feel a sadness we cannot name. Though we accomplish much of what we set out to do, we sense that something is missing in our lives and -fruitlessly - search "out there" for the answers. What's often wrong is that we are disconnected from an authentic sense of self"
