ABOUT ME

My vision is to provide opportunities to help empower women by offering classes on spiritual wellness, health, finances, relationships and meditation. Through sharing the vast knowledge and kindred spirits of others, along with myself, I know this is possible.

"Many women today feel a sadness we cannot name. Though we accomplish much of what we set out to do, we sense that something is missing in our lives and -fruitlessly - search "out there" for the answers. What's often wrong is that we are disconnected from an authentic sense of self"

CHRISTMAS GET TOGETHER

THURSDAY DEC. 3RD 6:30

Next Thursday's class is extra special to me. First, I am excited about Marie's second class on affirmations as I have personally seen how this concept is life changing. Second, as many of you are aware, part of my vision of "Awaken Body and Soul" is the concept of "Women Empowering Women". All of us have a talent whether it be artistic, motivational or professional and we as women can encourage and support each other. I am excited to open my "Awaken Body and Soul" boutique. My intention is for this boutique to allow women to have their products available to the public.

There will be Christmas items for sale in the boutique for the holidays. My daughter Amy has designed interchangeable jewelry that she has been very popular in the Ogden area. Sue Hooley has created her own soaps and body lotions that is also being sold at The Galley and Senses. I am so excited to see her achieving her dream and her product is awesome. Debbie Lytle who is very knowledgable in the benefits and use of essentials oils will have aromatherapy products for sale. Also if anyone is interested in purchasing Pampered Chef items, Karen Bloom will have catalogs available at the class that can be here in time for Christmas. Anyone interested in putting their products in the store, let me know.

As it is the holidays, I would like to celebrate the friendships we have made throughout the year. Please invite any friends or family. Also as it is going to be a party atmosphere, please bring a treat to share. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Peggy

2nd CLASS POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS AND ACHIEVING "PEACE OF MIND"

Marie Smith will be returning to teach the second class on positive affirmations and achieving "Peace of Mind" in our lives. There will be a class discussion and participation by those wanting to share their personal experiencies or suggestions on how to improve our lives. I think this is going to be a fantastic class. Look forward to seeing everyone. Peggy

ACHIEVING GOALS THROUGH AFFIRMATIONS Thursday Oct. 29, 2009 6:30

Marie Smith will be teaching this week's class on beginning the affirmation process. She was introduced to this process through a workshop created by Lou Tice in early 2000. She said that the workshop opened her eyes to the positive thought process and the creative possibilities that are available to everyone. That belief sent her in search of information and like minded people who were willing to share their knowledge about affirmations. Marie came into contact with a teacher from the Avatar movement in 2000 and with his guidance began using the affirmation process in many areas in her life with great success. The ultimate vision for the series "Achieving Goals Through Affirmations" is to share this knowledge so that others can benefit as well. Marie will be teaching three classes as follows:

Thursday Oct. 29th Beginning the affirmation process
Thursday Dec. 3rd Affirmations/The Power in how you think
Thursday Jan. 7th Creating a life affirmation

Marie is a singer/songwriter, musician and trainer. She is also a wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy is to spend time with family and friends and she lives to perform in front of live audiences.

I have personally witnessed the power of positive thinking and am very excited about these classes. Marie is an amazing woman, an incredible teacher and has achieved remarkable things in her life. She is an example to us all. Please pass the word. Peggy

SPECIAL THANKS TO NECIA AND TEENA

Our last two classes were very informative and enjoyable. Both ladies stepped out of their comfort zone and did a great job.. Necia discussed facing our fears and finding happiness in our lives. She also spoke about the life changing experience of attending a Rapport Leadership convention where she had to fly to Las Vegas by herself and spend three days with strangers. She said that public speaking has been one of her worst fears but she is now comfortable with it and even enjoys doing it. She was very inspirational.

Teena discussed the book "Younger Next Year" and got everyone enthused about excercising. She said we all needed to pick out something that we enjoy doing and remember a passion in our past that we could begin doing again. She said that we could actually be sking in our eighties if we begin an excercise program right now. She described how she became an avid mountain biker eventually getting all of her family involved. She definitely is a lover of life. My thanks to both of these women. Peggy

SELF MOTIVATION AND OVERCOMING FEARS

I am excited to announce Thursday's class and motivational speaker, Necia Anderson-Betts.
Necia was born and raised in Vernal and is co-owner and operator of a successful oilfield trucking service company. She is the mother of two boys and has another on the way. She described herself as a "self educator, yoga instructor and adventuralist". I have known Necia since she was five years old and have watched her blossom into a self assured, confident young woman. Her enthusiam and zest for life is contagious. She has attended the Rapport leadership which she says has been "life changing". She will be sharing some of these concepts at Thursday's meeting which begins at 7:00.

Awakening Party

We had a very good response with the awakening party held last Thursday. Everyone is interested in exploring new ideas and concepts. Most have shown a desire to learn to meditate. Due to the two holidays in July I have rescheduled the two speakers. Necia with be speaking on July 9th and Dr. Thomas Olsen will be scheduled in Sept. so more can attend.

As it is my passion to help empower as many women as possible, I would greatly appreciate everyone forwarding this blog to others or bringing them to the classes. I realize that everyone will not be able to attend every meeting and I don't expect that. Hopefully we can cover enough topics that people can choose which they wish to attend. I think we all have individual talents that we can share and in doing so can make our lives so much fuller and make a difference in the world. Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I will be providing light refreshments at the meetings. Anyone who wishes to drink wine, bring it with you and we can store it in the refrigerator with your name on it.

***Awaken Body and Soul Boutique will be open 30 minutes before and after each meeting.

THURSDAY'S TOPIC!

Thursday the 2nd I will be showing a DVD called "The Power of Intention" Learning to co-create your world, your way - by Dr Wayne Dyer. This is a very powerful concept simlilar to "The Secret" although I find Dr Dyer's presentation much more insighful. I am really excited to share this with everyone.
